Ordinary NFC for information access
NTAG215 can open event information or a registered ticket page, but its static link can be copied. It cannot by itself enforce one-time admission, transfer or cancellation rules.
Use an NFC ticket, card or wristband to open event information and support a defined admission journey. Access control depends on the event system and gate procedures, not merely on a link opening successfully.
Start with the admission decision and event-system integration, then choose the ticket carrier. Opening an event page and redeeming a one-time entry are different operations.
NTAG215 can open event information or a registered ticket page, but its static link can be copied. It cannot by itself enforce one-time admission, transfer or cancellation rules.
Configured NTAG424 DNA or EM4425 can add dynamic tag evidence with backend checks. Redemption, concurrent requests, re-entry and override permissions still need explicit integration with the admission system.
Metal clips, badges or venue equipment near the scan position can affect reading. Test an alternative position or a suitable carrier as needed; chip security is independent of on-metal construction.
Test paper folding, wristband fit, sweat, water and real gate phones or readers. Include damaged carriers and network failure; define offline and reconciliation procedures rather than assuming they are supported.
Test the ticket, card or wristband and define its relationship with a registration record and privacy rules.
Agree server-side redemption and concurrent-scan handling with the ticketing system; a static link alone cannot enforce one-time entry.
Test duplicate presentation, re-entry, loss and network failure with the actual gate staff and equipment.
Test paper tickets, cards or wristbands in realistic conditions. Folding, sweat, water and proximity to the body can affect the finished construction. Define who scans the carrier, from which side and with which phone or reader at the gate.
A static NTAG215 link can be copied; a registered page is not proof of unused admission. Plan a server-side redemption decision, permissions and concurrent-scan handling with the ticketing system. A secure NFC chip can add tag evidence but does not implement those admission rules by itself.
Define transfers, cancellations, lost tickets, re-entry and accessibility assistance. Explain which person can override a result and how the action is recorded. Keep attendee data restricted and do not let possession of a public ticket link reveal private registration details.
Pilot with the actual gate equipment and staffing. Test duplicate presentation, a legitimate second entry, damaged carriers and network failure. Measure time to a useful result and queue impact; define offline behaviour and reconciliation explicitly rather than assuming they are available.
Describe your product, packaging material, intended scan or verification result, target market and expected pilot scope. The team can then assess placement, data and integration requirements.
